What do you love about your job?

I love creating special bonds with the children and watching them grow and blossom in a lovely, caring environment. We have all built new and continuing friendships and relationships with both staff members and parents which creates a warm-hearted atmosphere in the nursery.

Proudest moment so far?

I have loved every aspect of my job but I am specifically proud of returning full time and being welcomed into a new room and becoming part of their team so effortlessly. I also love to make bonds with my key children and to be welcomed in the morning with a happy smile from them!

Any tips for finding a job that you love?

Always have confidence in yourself, be determined, positive and keep trying!

What are your usual working hours?

37.5 hours a week over 4 days. 9.25 hours a day (including one 9.75 hour day)

What training is needed for your job?

You need to have at least a level 2 qualification in Childcare to work at the Nursery. I have a level 4 childcare qualification.

We continually update and renew training both online and face to face practicals. We update our mandatory training every year and paediatric first aid every 3 years. We also have team/staff meetings every so often to discuss how the nursery and room are getting on and how to improve if needs be.

The Nursery has a lovely atmosphere where you can express your personality and show your passion for childcare. We are very professional and have a high standard of care here whilst having fun and providing a safe, stimulating and caring environment for the children to thrive.
