Samantha | Clinical Administrator

Urology and Renal Services

I am Clinical Administrator to one of our Nurse Specialists and I support him with admin duties. I track and monitor the status of radiology appointments to ensure the Nurse Specialist receives the result in a timely manner. I am responsible for proof reading clinic letters to correct any errors, before the final version is signed off by the Nurse Specialist. To carry out these tasks I use NHS systems and Microsoft packages. I also respond to patient queries via email and telephone. Part of my role is to support other secretaries, for example to cover absence, this can include telephone cover and admin support. The job also involves dealing with all levels of medical staff, GP’s and medical or admin staff from external Trusts.
